I can't say enough good things about The Snack Cabinet and Corey. I hit him up while he was at Roses in Kinston last weekend while I was waiting on my food from another truck. He was super-friendly and ready to tell me about his menu and make recommendations if needed. I placed my order and he was aware enough of the wait times for the other truck that he suggested I hold off on the funnel cake until I had my meals in hand, otherwise it would be cold by the time I got it home. I really appreciated him thinking for a few moments outside of just "making the order" so we got the best end experience. Now on to the food. I got a "Pecan Cluster" funnel cake and a strawberry lemonade. Both were excellent. The lemonade was all fruit, no premix filler or bottled syrups like a lot of other trucks do. No shortage of pulp in the mix, which is exactly how I like it. Funnel cake was hot, filled up the plate, perfect chewy texture with just a tiny bit of crunch, dusted with sugar, and a generous amount of the pecan/syrup combo on top. Folks, these aren't just snacks: They are weapons. Buying these for someone else comes with great responsibility. Don't go recklessly buying them for someone that isn't special to you, because you're about to be special to them. These snacks will make their day. These snacks will get you laid. These snacks will (temporarily at least) make them forget the last thing you did that didn't meet their expectations, because you will be exceeding their expectations with these treats.
