Just tried Cinema Bandi, an Indian fusion food truck in Denton, and the food was fantastic. We ordered the onion samosas, spring roll chicken, and butter chicken curry (medium), and every dish had huge flavor. The spices were rich and layered, the wraps were perfectly crunchy, and even the Coke in a can hit just right. It’s the kind of food where you take a bite and immediately go back for another because there’s so much going on flavor-wise. My husband was trying Indian food for the first time, and I was watching his reaction like a reality show judge waiting for the verdict. One bite in and he just goes, “Oh… yeah.” I’m so glad we stumbled on this little gem for his first taste. Pros: • Bold, layered flavor across everything we tried • Generous portions for food truck pricing • Super kind and welcoming staff • Fun setup outside with other trucks, picnic tables, and space for kids to play Cons: • Food truck = possible wait if it’s busy • You’ll probably start craving it again immediately Between the food, the friendliness, and the laid-back picnic table vibe, the whole experience was a win. We’ll definitely be back — and honestly, I’m already plotting my next visit.

I tried the Bismillah Chicken Biryani and Bismillah Mutton Biryani — both were absolutely delicious! The rice was perfectly cooked, full of aroma, and the meat was tender and flavorful. The Joint Biryani had an amazing rich taste and generous portions. And the Sambar Punugulu are a must try! Crispy outside, soft inside, and paired perfectly with sambar. One of the best food truck experiences I’ve had. Definitely coming back!

I ordered the Gongura Chicken Pulav and the special boneless pulav. The gongura pulav was just okay (not really my taste), but my friends liked it. The special boneless pulav was a huge letdown chicken tasted like it was only color coated and lacked real flavor. I couldn’t finish it. Definitely disappointed, especially since it was listed as a special.

I tried Cinema Bandi for the first time today, and honestly, I was disappointed. I’ve been exploring many restaurants lately, and some places maintain very high quality — so maybe that’s why I felt a big difference here. They mention “street style food,” but I didn’t feel even 5% of real Indian street food taste. It feels like only the name is “street style,” not the actual experience. The food didn’t feel hygienic or fresh to me. Even simple 5-minute Maggi tastes better than what I got today. Taste was poor, quantity was less, and honestly not worth the price. If taste is good, quantity doesn’t matter — but here both were disappointing. This is just my genuine review, not a negative attack. You can check all my other reviews — I always give honest feedback, and some places I rated very high because they deserved it. If the restaurant improves taste, hygiene, and quality in the future, I will be more than happy to update this review. I always support good food and good effort.
