Confirmed with staff at 2000 they were open until 2200, as their sign stated. Went to order food at 2110 and they told me they were closed. I mentioned my previous interaction and was told "they shouldn't have to you that," and "it would take me 20 minutes to make you food and I've been here 13 hours." Super uncool. Kindness could have gone a long way.

Response from owner

Hey Sarah, apologies for the confusion about open/close times. It sounds like our staff member had a really long day of work. Hopefully you can give him some grace here. Thanks.

Barrio Tacos – Midtown Yacht Club (Bend, OR) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I didn’t take a picture of my food because, honestly, I attacked it like a starving pack of wolves descending on a wounded wildebeest. By the time I thought of documenting the meal, it was already a crime scene. The only thing that could’ve enhanced the experience would’ve been eating it under a full moon, howling softly while digesting. I ordered the beef tacos and was pleasantly surprised by how substantial the portion was—not one of those overpriced miniature taco situations. The flavor was rich, bold, and deeply satisfying, the kind of thing that makes you stop mid-bite just to mutter “oh damn” under your breath. You can tell these people actually care about what they’re serving. I also got a vegan taco for my wife, but I forgot to ask for no cheese—that was my bad. On the upside, I got to try the mushroom protein taco, and it was pretty solid. Definitely not a consolation prize, and would make a fine option for anyone wanting to go meatless. The folks at Barrio are doing something right. The truck was clean, the crew was efficient, and even with a full yard at Midtown Yacht Club, the wait was short and the vibe was easy. The food stands out not just because it tastes good—but because it feels thoughtful. Support this truck. Eat their tacos. Maybe bring a friend so you don’t have to pretend to growl when you claim the last bite.

Outstanding enchiladas - thick, creamy green chile sauce, generous sprinkle of pickled red onions and cotija & jack cheese, over corn tortillas with an amazing mushroom & corn filling. It had been several years since I'd eaten at Barrio's food truck and frankly, I was blown away by how good these enchiladas are. Portion was big enough that I could only master 1/3 of it; still delicious (and filling) for lunch the next two days.

Response from owner

Hey Sherryn thanks for the love! We're glad you enjoyed your visit. We agree the enchiladas are some of our long standing favorites!

Got the burger. Pretty disappointing to be honest. Very dry and overcooked. I'm pretty sure it's just a frozen Patty that they plop down on the grill. Not very much sauce. The chips are fine.

Response from owner

My favorite food truck in Bend! This place is so good it's insane, and the prices are fairly reasonable as well. Pictured below is the Beef Birria Wet Burrito and the Chicken Quesadilla.
