The rockfish was good, but raw batter was under a lot of the solid batter. Not really much flavor in the batter or fish. I didn't care for the tartar sauce, which was disappointing because I'm a big fan of it usually! There's an odd/different ingredient that wasn't something I enjoyed. The chips were ok, a little dry and over cooked. Again, not much flavor. The apple frita is literally an inch round chunk of apple dipped in batter and fried and dusted with powdered sugar. No real flavor.

So good! A crispy golden batter combined with tender fish and accompanied by rich flavorful sauces / condiments and perfect fries, for sure these fish and chips are perfect! Waiting time is not long but enough to grab beer / cider / coffee from places around.

This place is the BOMB! Ordered the Rockfish fish & chips with mushy peas and they were delicious! To close out the meal, I ordered some of their apple fritters and they were very tasty too! I would like to add a huge SHOUT OUT to the two young ladies working the truck today on Swift St. in Santa Cruz. They were super kind, professional, friendly and just awesome!
