The service was friendly. All of my questions addressed. I ordered mullet, a local fish, and cheesy grits. The food was good except that grits had lumps in them, a lot of lumps. It looks like they were not stirred properly. To give the place a benefit of a doubt, I’d it here again to try different items. Maybe it was just ah honest mistake.

Absolutely Delicious! Pro tip: Go inside to Anna’s Wines for grab and go drinks on the patio.

First time eating here. I ordered the mixed basket with fried shrimp, crawfish, basa, and mullet. It came with coleslaw and regular hushpuppies, and I upgraded the fries to mac & cheese. I also tried the crawfish hushpuppies and the seafood gumbo. Everything came out pretty quick. The service from the Patti Wagon food truck wasn’t as strong as the service inside Joe Patti’s, but it was acceptable at first. After thinking about it more, I’m dropping this to 1 stars. Coming from a 3 star, which was just too generous on my behalf. The guy taking my order came off pretty snobby. He kept saying things like “are you sure you want all that, it’s going to be a lot of money” and “that’s going to be one big basket.” The way he said it made it seem like I was getting a huge portion. But when the food came out, it really wasn’t much. Definitely not what I expected based on how he talked it up, especially for the price. I paid around $65, so I expected a loaded basket, not something that felt pretty light. As for the food, it was just okay. The fried seafood was soggy and lacked that crispy crunch you’d expect. Not sure if it was an off day or an issue with the batter or fryer, because I’ve heard great things about this place. The seafood gumbo wasn’t my favorite either. I understand okra can change the texture, but this one was noticeably slimy. I’ve had plenty of gumbo with okra and traditional roux, and this just didn’t hit for me. On the positive side, the mac & cheese and the hushpuppies (both regular and crawfish) were good. Nothing amazing, but solid. The seating environment and atmosphere was also very nice. The seating was genuinely a 5/5. I only wished the service and food matched. I ended up tipping 10%, and honestly that felt generous considering the experience. I was planning on tipping more, but the attitude and overall service changed that. Looking back, I shouldn’t have tipped at all, especially for a food truck. Tipping culture has gotten out of hand anyways, and service like this doesn’t justify any tip. The Joe Patti’s inside was phenomenal 5/5. But the Pattiwagon 1/5.

Words can't do justice to exactly how delightful and delicious the food was here. We had Shrimp Po Boy with Mac and the Big Fish Sandwich with Mac and with fries. The delicate and flavorful buns are absolutely exquisite and the fresh dill perfectly balanced the breading and seasoning of the fish. The overall taste of everything was simply out of the world. It was worth the 1400 mile drive from Wisconsin for this food.

I got the Basa pobody (fried) and I tell you it was THE best poboy I’ve ever had! I’ve never tried that kind of fish before but it tastes like a light, flaky whitefish and was good. Their tartar sauce tastes freshly made and had capers in it — nuff said! It did take a while to get my food (about 20 min), so plan accordingly if you’re running over here on your lunch break. The servings are large too so you could easily split a poboy with a friend (shown is less than half of my sandwich).
