We just got back from Puerto Rico, so I’ve been craving authentic pinchos bad. Unfortunately, this spot didn’t quite hit the mark. The chicharrón de pollo had a nice crisp on the skin, which I appreciated, but it was overly salty. The arroz con gandules tasted grainy, like it had been sitting for a while and wasn’t freshly made. The yuca frita was decent, but the sauce was extremely oily and didn’t elevate the dish at all. We tried it on both the chicken and yuca, and it just fell flat. Service-wise, there was a pretty long wait for both the chicken pinchos and the alcapurria. When we finally got the pinchos, we were told there was no BBQ sauce, which was disappointing. We ended up taking them home to eat with our own sauce. The pinchos did have a nice char, which I liked, but they weren’t as tender as I was hoping for. Overall, I had high expectations coming in, especially after just being in Puerto Rico, but it didn’t quite deliver.

Lovely atmosphere and beautiful people. Food was amazing and prices were great for the service and quality. It was like being in the island enjoying food at the backyard with the family. Highly recommended.

Really exceptional food at a food truck parked in the shade at the corner of 170th and 26th. I am not super familiar with Puerto Rican food, but I stopped for ice cream at Lulu‘s and the smell of this hole food truck area was so good. I had to check out El Punto. The staff helped me pick out my order, and man it was great food. The corner is shady, and cool, and I understand that you’re bringing in more food trucks. I’ll be stopping by often. I bought ribs for my husband and pork chops for myself, both huge portions. We could’ve split one plate.

When I tell y'all that this place is fire 🔥 🤤😋👍 the most Authentic delicious Puerto Rican food in Gainesville. Hats off to the owner/cook Guillermo, who was friendly, funny and professional while conducting business and not to mention the music and location were also on point. It's worth every penny.

Hands down the best Puerto Rican food we have ever had the pleasure of eating (and quite possibly the most delicious food truck too)! The team was friendly, fast, and each item we ordered (a bit of everything) was easily a 10/10. I could eat their empanadas everyday. Can't wait until Friday comes around so we can eat there again!
