Chicken “shawarma” was nothing remotely close to a shawarma. It had more kale than chicken, had squash in it??? and came wrapped in a tortilla. A tortilla! They have pita back there but no, it’s in a tortilla. There are no typos in this review. That’s actually what the “creative chef owner” thought tastes good. Please don’t support this atrocity Edit in response to the owner’s reply: there you have it folks, no lessons learned, guaranteed to repeat their behavior. You never know what you’re gonna get, it’s lunchtime roulette! Words have no meaning to these people. I should add that this kale wrap cost 19 dollars. There is nothing innocent about what this business is doing. They straight up deceive their customers about what they’re ordering and expect a second chance? They can hide behind their small business excuses all they want but I think people deserve to know what kind of business they’re ordering from - big or small - and if the truth coming out makes them upset that tells you all you need to know.

Hi Galen — our shawarma dish was never intended to be a traditional Middle Eastern shawarma. J Street has always focused on globally and seasonally inspired food, and the “Chicken Shawarma Wrap” was designed as a creative menu item rather than an authentic regional dish. We understand not every menu item will be for every guest, but we’re always happy to remake a meal or help find something else if someone lets us know while we’re serving. Unfortunately, a 1-star review after the fact — especially one encouraging others not to support a small business — doesn’t give us much opportunity to make things right. Hunje Food Truck by J Street has incredible fish and chips! Asian inspired and definitely a different seasoning than I’ve ever had. It’s a huge portion with fresh cut fries and homemade slaw- sooo good! Super nice people, fast friendly and delish! Can’t wait to find them and try more menu items.

Absolutely outstanding Thanksgiving dinner! I’m still thinking about how incredible every single dish was. The turkey was perfectly seasoned and amazingly juicy. The mashed potatoes were exactly how I love them—chunky with fresh golden potatoes and the skins left on, tasting so homemade and comforting. The gravy was seasoned perfectly and the most delicious texture, perfect on top of everything! The green bean casserole, packed with juicy mushrooms, was unbelievably flavorful. The sweet potato casserole struck that perfect nostalgic note, and the dressing was seasoned beautifully with the most wonderful, cozy texture. The yeast rolls were out-of-this-world soft and pillowy—truly unforgettable. The cranberry sauce was one of my favorite parts: whole, juicy cranberries that tasted homemade and absolutely delicious. And the pumpkin chocolate hazelnut pie?!? It was like something out of a dream—one of the best pies I’ve ever had. And the icing on the cake is that they donated the same amount of meals that we ordered to help feed local hungry neighbors. Truly the best of all worlds! Ordering online and picking up was so easy and convenient, and you can tell heart and soul went into every single dish. Truly the most delicious Thanksgiving feast. I can’t wait to order again next year!

We ordered our thanksgiving meal from Jstreet and it was perfect! A few of us flew in the day of and were not able to cook our own! The food was excellent. We always worry about too much salt with any kind of take out and we were so pleasantly surprised that everything was perfectly seasoned. No one woke up swollen!!! This holiday was so much easier and cleaner than previous years we look forward to doing this again.

Amazing to-go Thanksgiving meal! All the sides were awesome. The turkey was moist and flavorful. Even the pie with the chocolate ganache and sinful pumpkin creme was fabulous! Worth the money and effort as it gave us a comprehensive solid traditional Thanksgiving. Thank you for making our holiday dinner enjoyable!
