Great food. Lots of flavor. Friendly staff. Don’t miss out! They were at Pins downtown tonight. Delicious.

7 dollars for a alcapurria was insane to me. The rice was fairly dry and lacking flavor. Was also very confused by all the random items on the menu like bosco sticks and onion rings. Not something you usually see in a Puertorican spot.

Went to the brick and mortar today and it did not disappoint!! I got the chicken empanada and the Spanish rice and beans. The rice and beans portion was HUGE! Especially for $5! The empanada was delightful. She even made it fresh for me since it was my first time there. The shell was so good! The chicken filling was a wee bit salty for me but the flavor was so good. I can't wait to go back again!!

Got the veggie empanada meal. The empanada shell itself is quite large, but upon cutting it open you can see that there is very little inside. From what I can gather the veggie ingredient is spinach, but also includes mushrooms, and some sort of orange cheese like Colby. This taste profile did not work for me. I typically expect a white cheese like queso blanco or even mozzarella for empanadas, especially if you’re mixing it with mushrooms. So the empanadas fail for me. Tbh it’s just gross. The rice and beans are fine but lack flavor/spice. I’ve had authentic Puerto Rican food and this just doesn’t seem to compare to that. Would not return.

We saw this truck parked at Fortis College in Centerville. We could see the big empanadas sign waving and I cut across traffic to get to it. It wasn't a busy time of day (between 3 and 4pm) and we were the only ones in line. We got a chicken empanada and a beef empanada (spent 10 dollars total) . Both were good. The food truck staff was very nice and gave my daughter some treats while she waited.
