I went to the chicken coop last night. Food was fried in old oil. I got the Houston flavor no seasoning no flavor ,my dirty rice was dry portion size was extra small. I asked for a refund it looked like gas station chicken and tasted like it as well. Service was slow and those young men are playing with people’s food and money. Barely speaking up and late with greeting their customers. Ate a bite of chicken and a spoon of rice and asked for a refund. He was going to let me keep the food, I gave him the food back. Toss that in the trash. He said my money would return to my card. Still haven’t seen it. I’ll be back up there today. This was gross. An older lady complained about the service and said someone needs to get in Contact with the owner. Yes they do. OWNER I HOPE YOU SEE THIS.

The foods flavor was off the chain. The seasoning on the wings and the Dirty Mac is out of this world. My issue was the portions, the wings were small and the Mac and cheese was less than a measuring cup, I'm still hungry, lol. I would rather pay a few dollars more and get good sizeable portions, the fact that it took almost 30 minutes to get it to the table, took another star for me. I would eat it again but have to buy twice as much, which would take it from 17 to 34 meal. I think a food trick meal should be between 20-27 with definitely being filled up and the potential for left overs.

I really wanted to like this place, but these wings were a total letdown. Visually, they looked seasoned to perfection—tons of spices, a crispy exterior—but somehow, they had absolutely no flavor. It was like all the seasoning was just for show. Even worse, the wings had this weird aftertaste, almost like eggs, which completely threw me off. I've never eaten a chicken wing and thought, "Did someone dip this in an omelet first?" Just bizarre. Not sure what went wrong in the kitchen, but when wings manage to be both over-seasoned and flavorless and taste like eggs... that's a hard pass for me. Won't be coming back.

These guys have really perfected their craft. The flavor is spot on, wings are big, flavorful and crispy. The tenders are big and flavorful. The dirty rice is soooo good. Mac n cheese is creamy! Seasoned fries are the perfect soft and yummy. We will be back 100x before the end of the year I’m sure, but I won’t be surprised if they become a brick and mortar by then. My man said “This is the best chicken I’ve ever had!” We’re big fans ❤️

I ordered “The Reel” which came with 1 piece of fried catfish, 3 shrimp and a side of seasoned fries. I also wanted to try the Mac and cheese so I ordered a side of that as well. It was all delicious but my favorite was the catfish. I love how it was fried and it had a very clean taste. If you eat a lot of catfish you will know what I mean. I’ll definitely be back.
